Unit 1 – Essentials (3 hrs)

Being a first aider, safety regulations, action at emergencies, triage, traffic incidents, fires, electrical injuries.

Unit 2 – Techniques (3 hrs)

First aid kits, types of bandages, casualty handling and transportation methods.

Unit 3 – Lifesaving (2 hrs)

Basic life support (BLS), choking management for adults, children, and infants.

Unit 4 – Respiratory (3 hrs)

Respiratory system anatomy, respiratory emergencies, and drowning response.

Unit 5 – Circulatory (2 hrs)

Heart problems, managing shock, internal bleeding, and fainting episodes.

Unit 6 – Wounds (2 hrs)

Types of wounds, bleeding control techniques, wound care and dressing.

Fire Safety

  • Fire Elements & Classes: Heat, Fuel, Oxygen, Flashpoint – Class A through D fires and appropriate responses.
  • P.A.S.S. Method: Correct use of fire extinguishers, selecting the right type, treating burn injuries.
  • Industrial Hazards: Flammable liquids handling, static electricity, electrical and welding fire hazards.
